Advanced PCM Films

The PCM films are supplied as multi layer films in different thicknesses. The heat storage capacity is up to 180 J/g. The polymer compounds themselves do not show a paraffin leakage after 554 thermal cycles. But for absolute protection, especially in applications with higher pressure loads, a multi-layer film or a coating is possible. The film widths are 200 or 500 mm. The film thickness is 1 to 5mm.

The films have been tested for their flammability according to DIN 75200. The fire tests were passed with appropriate lamination with suitable foils.

The polymer-bound PCM films can be used in:

  • Ceiling constructions for air conditioning of rooms
  • Bufferstorage and for peak load control
  • Hot and cold applications in the medical sector
  • Transport safeguards for sensitive goods
  • Warming systems in the catering sector
  • Gardening and landscaping
  • Temperature buffering in electrical and electronic components
